THE FIA has confirmed that a group of protestors attempted to disrupt the British Grand Prix.
Demonstrators attempted to enter the track at the beginning of the race and were swiftly dealt with by race marshals.
And the protestors were unable to stall the race due to Zhou Guanyu’s horror crash at the start bring a halt to proceedings.
The FIA said in a statement: “We also confirm that after the red flag, several people attempted to enter the track.
“These people were immediately removed and the matter is now being dealt with by the local authorities.”
Fans were shocked by the protestors’ behaviour and let their feelings known on social media.
One viewer wrote: “What a surprise, idiot British protestors at the British GP , throw the book at them, they get on my nerves.”
