Horse racing tips: Templegate’s NAP in top form and tackles his ideal trip at Ayr

TEMPLEGATE takes on a Monday’s action as he looks to build the bank ahead of another big week of racing.

QUEST FOR FUN (4.10 Ayr, nap)

He’s run just five times and got off the mark in good style at Thirsk last time. This trip is ideal and there should be a lot more to come.

POET’S DAWN (7.15 Ripon, nb)

He was collared late at Musselburgh on Wednesday and drops back a furlong here. This track suits and he’ll be right there again.

YAASER (4.45 Ayr, treble)

He had all kinds of traffic problems when beaten just a head last time. He’s back off the same mark so can make amends.

QUEST FOR FUN can raise a smile.

He was an easy winner at Thirsk last time on just his second handicap start. He likes this trip and there’s a lot more to come.

Black Friday won this race last year and can go well again along with Call Me Ginger who won well here last time.

ABERAMA GOLD 2

TARNISHED Gold. Last win was in December 2020 but has gone well before over this course and distance. Has come down the weights and the first-time visor could help. Back up in class after a couple of fair runs.

BLACK FRIDAY 4

BLACK magic. Won this race last year and is a fair 3lb higher today. Best run of this season came here and he’s run over the wrong trip since then. Looks a big price to hit the frame.

SUMMER SANDS 2

WET Summer. Not won since 2019 and hasn’t shown much since moving back to Richard Fahey from Joseph O’Brien in Ireland. Needed his comeback after eight months off last time and drops in class here.

CALL ME GINGER 4

GINGER nuts. Got up on the line for a good win over course and distance latest and is best over this trip. Up just 2lb for that success and should be right in the mix again.

MUSIC SOCIETY 3

MUSIC in tune. Didn’t get the run of the race at Pontefract after a good win at Catterick. Any ground suits and this trip is his best. Has won here off this mark before so can’t be discounted.

QUEST FOR FUN 5

FUN bet. Clocked big personal best when scoring over this trip at Thirsk last time. That was just his second handicap run so there should be a lot more to come and he’s the one to beat.

ADNAAN 3

ADS up. Good novice winner at Newmarket last season and showed promise in a decent handicap on the July course last time. This trip suits and he gets handy weight from the older horses.

HURAIZ 1

RAIZ the bar. Hasn’t shown much for a long while and looked very rusty on comeback over 5f at Hamilton latest. Needs a lot more.
