COMEDIAN Nick Nemeroff has tragically died at the age of 32, with a cause of death not known.
Announcing the news on social media, rising star Nick’s family said: “It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved brother Nick Nemeroff.”
They continued: “Nick’s dedication to standup was formidable, and produced amazing results.
“He drew acclaim in Canada and the US, becoming both a ‘comic’s comic’ and a hit with crowds who were enamoured by his unique cadence, labyrinthine deadpan, and fresh take on misdirection-driven comedy.”
In a follow up tweet the family continued: “If Nick was on a comedy show, he was guaranteed to leave with new fans. And he deserved to, because comedy was, in many ways, his life.
“Endlessly sweet, supportive of others, humble about his many skills and achievements, Nick lived his life doing what he loved, and that is how he will be remembered. RIP Nick. We love you.”
However, the star’s cause of death is not yet known.
Nick had made appearances on comedy shows like Conan and Just for Laughs.

Nick’s management company takes to Twitter
Nemeroff’s management company Grand Wave Entertainment has paid tribute.
Posting an image of a statement, the company said it was “deeply saddened” by Nick’s passing.
While the cause of death is not known, his management did confirm the funnyman “died in his sleep”.

Nick was nominated for Comedy Album of The Year
The funny man was nominated for Comedy Album of the Year at the 2021 Junos for his debut This Pursuit of Comedy Has Ruined My Life.
Speaking to CBC in 2020, Nemeroff said: “I love stand up and jokes more than anything, unfortunately, and this album is the culmination of doing it every night for the past seven years.
“My biggest hope however is that they leave the album thinking I’m hot.”

Nick ‘died in his sleep’ says management
His manager, Morgan Flood of Grand Wave Entertainment, said in a text message to CBC News that he didn’t know the cause of death but that he “died in his sleep.”
A post on Nemeroff’s Instagram account remembered him as a “comic’s comic” with a “unique cadence, labyrinthine deadpan, and fresh take on misdirection-driven comedy.”

TV network Comedy Central have paid tribute to the rising star – who tipped him as having “a bright future ahead”.
A tweet from the network’s official Twitter account read: “Nick Nemeroff was a very funny comedian with a bright future ahead of him.
